Internet Marketing Is So Much Fun

Posted by Simon Skinner On February - 28 - 2009

Search Engine Optimization. Doesn’t sound like a lot of fun, does it? Even when you call it SEO, it still just sounds so… technical. Thankfully, SEO doesn’t have to be some sort of dreadful thing. If you take the time to learn a little about search engine optimization and are willing to practice, you just may find that SEO has become one of your favorite things to do! First of all, let me explain what search engine optimization is. In essence, SEO is using keywords (the search terms people use when conducting a search on Google, Yahoo or other search engines) in your website, your articles, anything else which will be published on the web. Why is this done? Because using these terms makes a website or article easier to find using a search engine. Since most people don’t look to deeply into their search results ? a page or two, usually, you’ll want your website to be as closer to the top of that list as possible. SEO is a big part of getting there. Let’s say for instance that you have a website which sells flowerpots. You’ll want to make sure that your website is optimized for the same words that people search for when trying to find flowerpots online.

It can be fun doing SEO and it isn’t necessarily that complicated. Once you learn to look at the SEO process as something fun and you get a little practice, it’ll get a lot easier and you may even start to look forward to it. How can you make SEO fun to do? Here’s one idea to try ? think about your website and just start writing everything you want to say on it. Don’t worry about keywords or even structure at this point ? you’ll go back and rewrite it later. Once you’ve gotten your ideas down, look through it and examine you text for the keywords and phrases you’ve used which may be relevant to your site. Then go back and add other keywords you want to use that you missed on the first pass. Try replacing pronouns that refer to your keyword with the keyword itself. Make sure that your text still makes sense and reads naturally ? you don’t want to overstuff your site with keywords; this will make it difficult for your readers.

Of course while you are having fun with SEO, don’t go too crazy with it. Remember that too much SEO can be as bad as none at all. While it may look okay to you, it will make the text overdone. Usually you’ll find that it is recommended to have about 1-2% keyword density within your articles. Basically this means that for every 100 words that you write, you should have 1-2 keywords in that 100 words. So, if you write an article that is 400 words long, then you should have anywhere from 4-8 keywords in the entire article. When you are trying to hit the right amount of keywords, make it into a game and see how close you can get to the right amount the very first time that you try.

Yes, SEO needs to be well balanced, but it is nowhere near as difficult as so many think it will be. If you take the time to be well informed and you work at it, you can make SEO fun to work on. Just make sure that you do your SEO like you would chocolate chip cookies. You need enough chocolate chips to have great flavor, but if you have too many, you will have a huge mess. Remember this when working on SEO. Make it fun, keep it balanced, and you’ll find that the SEO just falls into place for you.

Easy Ways To Earn More Money By Optimizing Your Blog

Posted by Don Lawson On February - 28 - 2009

If you’re a blogger, chances are you’re not getting the all important search engine traffic you could. Don’t worry, most other bloggers don’t either because they rely solely on Social Media traffic. Failing to bring in targeted traffic is one reason many bloggers stop trying to make money online and go off doing something else.

If they understood how easy it was to SEO optimize their blog post, they just might get the free organic traffic they need to be successful. It can be done in 3 easy steps. By following these easy steps, you can increase traffic which can make the difference in a blog that creates the owner virtually no income or a blog that is an instrument for additional income.

The 3 tips below will get you on your way to optimizing your blog in order to bring in search engine traffic that is willing to click on your ads. This will take very little time but pay you back with huge dividends.

The first thing you should do is to make sure your url’s are search engine friendly if they aren’t already. Let’s say your blog post is Titled “Make Money With Blogs”. These keywords should show up in your url. If they are not, you’re missing out on a huge SEO benefit. By including your keywords in the URL, you’re telling the search engine what your blog and post are about and making it easier for them to figure this out.

Blogger dot com is set to show your post keywords in the url’s. In WordPress you’ll need to change the Permalink structure. You’ll do this under the Permalinks tab in your WordPress dashboard. Simply set the Custom field to percent sign - postname - percent sign. (without the dashes)

Your next assignment is to make sure your keywords are in the Title of the Blog. With Blogger, you do this when you set up your blog. The keywords should be used as the Name of the Blog and in the URL of the blog. In WordPress, you can set the Title of the Blog under the Settings tab. Hopefully, you were thinking ahead and have some of the keywords used in your domain name as well.

Now you need to ensure that when you write a post, that you use the keywords you’re trying to target in the post title. This will also show up in your URL. This helps the search engine bots figure out what your post are about. Don’t confuse them by having a rambling post about nothing. If you’re writing about making money online, then make sure your post has those keywords in it.

See how easy that was. People tend to make things harder than what they are. But now that you know how easy it is, get to work! It still amazes me to see people who do not know about this or who are too lazy to do it. But I’m not complaining. Some of those people are my competitors and I blow right past them in the rankings!

To realize all the potential your blog has to offer once it’s optimized, all you’ll need to do next is build links to each optimized page using the same keywords as anchor text. This will help you gain precious rankings and don’t be surprised if you find most of your blog post make it to page one with optmized Titles and Post with some targeted links pointing at those pages. This is how money is made with organic traffic.

No Bull, The Overnight Cash System Official Gifting review

Posted by DavidLeeTV On February - 28 - 2009

The Overnight Cash System, (TOCS) is an infant when it comes to INTERNET based cash gifting activities. They recently made that change in January of 2008 but still touts the 1Up style structure of cash gifting. The lowest level is $250 and goes all the way up to $10,000.

A Integrated into their system is a toll-free call back feature that allows for questions to be answered by a team leader.

Additional charges are expected to be paid as a TOCS member. Those can range from $200 all the way up to $1,000 depending on the level you choose to come in at. The replicated websites will run you $29.95 per month additional which also gets you access to the back office and the marketing materials. Pay for a full year of hosting and a small discount will be applied. The aforementioned fees are separate from the actual gift you send to your inviter.

The starting tier of $250 is certainly an advantage if looking for that type of gifter. Having a system that allows questions to be answered by a team leader is certainly attractive for people with few telephone or communication skills.

The Superior feature in this program is the TOCS team leaders returning calls to prospects and answering questions, making it more of a true, hands off type gifting activity.

A disadvantage could also be the highly automated TOCS website. It comes across as flashy and oftentimes overbearing. This fact results in lower conversions than normal. Activities with more direct training see better conversion rates than does TOCS.

The higher administration fees just simply turn people off even with the added team leader call back feature that is included. Any additional fees at this point simply cut into someone’s advertising budget, making it more difficult for success.

The main issue is the higher administration fees which are a problem for many people. Most people today want to speak directly to their potential inviter, therefore the call back feature and additional fees are simply a waste for most. The “fast talking” replicated website turns many off as well. Internally it just has a used car feel to it.

The No Bull Cash Gifting final opinion: Marketing materials have heavy restrictions on them and the auto responder system included doesn’t allow for any added, or personalized messages. In this day and age of “self branding”, this fact alone is a big turn off.

Success in any cash gifting activity is possible. Needed is the right frame of mind, the right system and inviter. Oh yes, and it certainly never hurts to have a little money set aside for advertising. Unless a person has an unlimited amount of time on their hands, it does take some cash to get targeted traffic to your website.

The Marketing Man Terry Dean !

Posted by Hot Biz Ghost Writer On February - 28 - 2009

If you are familiar with internet marketing then you know that it changes frequently. New technical advances, ideas, and methods make it WAY more competitive than the average business. I would say about 1000X more!

Terry makes reference to different services that changed their names a couple of years back and that certainly points to material that at least, needs to be updated. But don’t get me wrong, he still offers some useful information, it just may not be as thorough as it could be.

Any internet marketer should be aware of of Terry Dean and his teachings. There are however, many other aspects of internet marketing that must be addressed to ensure success. If you can follow a simple, proven, step-by-step process put together by extremely successful internet marketers and combine them with some of Terry’s advice, you could quickly build a successful global internet business.

One weakness with Dean’s material is that by the time I read his Net Breakthroughs course it looked a few years old, at least three by my count, which on the internet, something as little as 2 years is equivalent to 10 years in the offline world.

So while his diary concept was great, it may be useless. The evidence I have that it could be a few years old is that it refers to Yahoo Search Marketing as Goto.com. Goto changed their name to Overture Services in 2001, and was bought out by Yahoo which then became Yahoo Search Marketing in 2005, so this is some seriously outdated information.

Even if this course appears antiquated, I still give Dean a thumbs up for his creative style and teaching ability. Terry Dean is a marketer we can really learn a lot from, especially if he would ever updated his material!

Seeing as how it is now 2009 and Terry Dean is still promoting “Net Breakthroughs” you can understand when I say that even though some of the stuff that he covers is good it is still outdated and there are more up to date programs available.

Even if this course appears antiquated, I still give Dean a thumbs up for his creative style and teaching ability. Terry Dean is a marketer we can really learn a lot from, especially if he would ever update his material!

Exploring Different types of Residual Income

Posted by joe cotroneo On February - 27 - 2009

There are numerous types of incomes. The two most popular forms of income include that of linear and residual. Most of us are familiar with linear income. This is the income that we receive from the means of a fee for a service and/or product that is provided, a salary that we receive from an employer, and a particular wage that we are paid from performing a certain job or duties. Once we acquire the pay from our linear income, we can expect to receive no more compensation for that particular job. However, residual income is slightly different. With this particular type of income, we can continue to generate money even after we have provided the goods and/or services.

The benefits associated with residual income are easy to understand for many business owners. Keep in mind that one of the most fascinating benefits of residual income is that it persists in providing income on a continual basis. Residual income allows a business owner the time to purse other interests or projects, while actively making money. This means that you can thoroughly enjoy indulgence of compensation even after successfully completing the project when involved yourself in projects that present residual payments. A residual project keeps on paying, repeatedly.

There are a number of different types of residual income. These are many possibilities when it comes to aquiring a residual income.

If you successfully create a book, any type of computer software, any type of music that others can enjoy, drawing, or any other type of item similar to these, you can be compensated for many, many years to come by way of a residual income. Many people experience difficulties in seeing the income that is generated by these types of Medias initially, however, success normally prevails in no time at all. This is especially true if you have created a unique and well-liked piece.

Interest on savings and investments is also residual income. If you know how to invest, you could collect a good deal of interest over time.

Individuals who have a career in various types of sales can also benefit from a residual income. This is especially true of the sales professionals that specialize in high priced items, such as homes and automobiles.

Profit from a business can also count. If you have subscribers for content you’ve produced, this income is residual, rather than linear. This is especially the case for repeat sales, where you’ve already purchased the product and done the marketing.

Many individuals have a large amount of land in which numerous natural resources are available. If you are one of these individuals, it is important to know that certain companies will pay you a residual income if you allow them access to the resources that are contained on your property. Normally, you will receive a payment initially, and be offered a consistent income based on the sales of the resources. This is a great method to create a residual income.

If an individual engages in an affiliate type company, they may benefit from a residual income. Many of these companies offer an assortment of goods and/or services in which one may continue to make money on long after the initial sale. Furthermore, commissions are generated by gaining referrals. Many individuals enjoy the benefit of receiving a certain percentage of the sales of the referrals as well.

By itself, one form of residual income probably won’t make you rich. That’s why it’s important to keep finding new ones, so the money will continue to trickle in. It’s important not to view residual income as a primary source, but rather more like icing on the cake. It’s an extra quantity of money, practically for free, that you receive each month, and it’s accessible to almost anyone.

Most People Fail In A Home Business

Posted by Curious Benny On February - 27 - 2009

Most people assume that everybody would love the opportunity to work from home but in reality, working from home is not for everyone. Sure working from home has a lot of advantages but never forget about the drawbacks involved.

People want the freedom to make their own hours, get lots of sleep, you can take a day off whenever you want, you do not have to deal with other workers, and being your own boss.

All this sounds good, doesn’t it? On the other hand, it is a great responsibility and very few are able to simply close shop at 6pm for the night as they can in a brick and mortar job.

You do not work all hours and you do not make a designated amount of money. Many like the idea of working at home so they can be with their families, but remember the old adage, “Be careful what you ask for.”

You must be able to truly balance dual roles of being a productive worker and a parent. You must be able to set firm boundaries and make sure you use your business as efficiently as possible.

Balance will be both your best friend and your worst enemy. When you work at home, it means you are independent. Self-employment is often reflected by some as one who is unemployed, unless you’re an entrepreneur.

Many people see home workers as simply staying home. You must be able to cope with these obstacles and overcome them. There will be unexpected guests who think that because you’re home, it is time to socialize.

You might find the phone rings off the hook just because you’re home and so you must be available to chat. You do not want to be rude but sometimes it takes a hammer on the head for people to understand.

Put a note on your door you that states are not available from 8-5 and either get a phone line or send all calls to voice mail and go through them later.

When it comes to opportunities at home, they are endless. You can work from a computer, an accountant, to billing, telemarketing, assembling parts and day care, make silk flower arrangements, refinishing furniture, or even knitting bedspreads.

If you have a niche, there is a chance someone wants you!

eBillboardsNA - What is difference from AdWords?

Posted by Bill Stock On February - 27 - 2009

This article describes common differencies between Electronic Billboards of North America and Google AdWords technologies:

1. Google Adwords is Pay Per Click advertisement technology where you pay when someone clicks on your ad link. In some cases it’s good, but when you choose right keyword for you, you suddenly discover that you are only one of buyers of keyword and in order to get click to your link you should pay up to 70$ per click (for some keywords). With Electronic Billboards of North America technology you only pay for owing keyword for full year and you, and only you will be shown as a result of search for your keyword.

2. In Google Adwords campaign you have to constantly compete with other companies and raise price for your keywords. Sometimes your ROI can be negative and you should be high professional to get positive results. With Electronic Billboards of North America you just need to set url for keyword and get ready for getting traffic to your website.

3. Your advertisement budget can vary in Google Adwords, depending on keywords and number of impressions that you choose. Electronic Billboards of North America has fixed flat price for any keywords that you choose. Only traffic will vary, so only thing that you have to worry is to choose right keywords for your business.

4. When someone searches phrase that you own, Electronic Billboards of North America already displays your website in IFRAME so it means that people already can see your website, without clicking on ad link (not many people like clicking on ad links).

5. Last and not least difference: Google Adwords works only with Google Search Engine, when Electronic Billboards of North America works on All Major Search Engines, plus hundreeds of other partner websites with search features!

After all comparisions you can decide which model is best for you. I’m Personally using both of them and getting very good results.

The Carbon Copy Pro 2009 90 Day Challenge

Posted by Jan Shimano On February - 27 - 2009

So many people still don’t really understand the necessity of actually setting goals for themselves. You might have a vague idea of what you would like to happen in the future but if you don’t have a clear idea of where you want to go, then how on earth are you going to know if you ever get there. That might sound a little silly, but when you give it some thought, you will realize the truth in that statement.

I have been away from the full-time work force for many years now. In the past I had a very responsible position with the Federal Government but because I had a staff to do a lot of things for me, I never had the opportunity or need to learn any computer skills. Well, just last November, 2008, I decided to fulfill a dream and a goal of mine. I was going to start my own home-based internet marketing company. I knew just about zero about this industry but I was determined to learn what I needed to know. After much research, I aligned myself with a Company by the name of Carbon Copy Pro. I was impressed that they were a complete marketing system that helped solve problems most people faced in a home-based business and they provided all the tools for success. If you can believe it, they even close the deals for you!!

I happened to watch a video of their 2008 Convention where they were offering a program called the 2009 Carbon Copy Pro 90 Day Challenge. I was able to sign up for this program and last night (February 23, 2009) was the last webinar of the series. One of the instructors suggested that we record our progress that we had experienced during the 90 pay period. This got me thinking of where I am today compared to where I was when it all began. At the beginning I had never written an article, let along had one published, I had never produced a video or even been in one, I had never had my own blog, or a Facebook or a Twitter account….in fact I didn’t know what a number of these things actually were.

So what have I managed to accomplish during this period of time? I have learned that I love to write and have written 20 articles that have all been published by EzineArticles. That in itself would have made me deliriously happy…but I also managed to get all 20 articles on the first page of Google and many of them were even in the first position.

I went out and bought a little webcam and starting learning how to make and edit videos. I now have 26 videos on my YouTube channel and I also have 37 people subscribing to my videos, so that they can be informed whenever I upload a new one. I am receiving some very complimentary comments from viewers who are thanking me for helping them with their business.

I initially started a Wordpress.com blog but have recently switched over to a Wordpress.org blog, which I host myself. I am now learning the intricacies of blogging and how to create my own capture pages. I posted my first Press Release a month or so back and will be posting another one this week. I have 567 followers (and growing) on Twitter and 865 followers (so far) on Facebook and I have developed some great relationships by networking on these two sites.

In retrospect, I realize that I have accomplished a great deal during the last 90 days, but this is only the beginning.

No doubt you have all heard someone say “if I can do it, then anyone can”. Sometimes we think, “Oh Yeh! Sure!” Well, I am a 65 year old, retired woman, with no previous computer or marketing skills. So I do feel confident in saying “if I can do it, you can too”. If you have the desire to achieve your goals, then believe me, nothing can or will stop you from doing just that. The right information or the right person will appear just at the right time to move you ahead toward achieving your goal, as long as you give it your best and you never, never give up. There is no better time to succeed than right now. There are going to be millions of new millionaires created in the next ten years and there is no reason why you and I cannot be two of them. I plan on being one of them, do you?

One final word if I may….if you even have the opportunity to sign up for the next 2009 Carbon Copy Pro 90 Day Challenge, then go for it. The training you will receive will be priceless.
